Hello All had a lovely week off in the Yorkshire Dales managing to choose the best week of the year for weather luckily. The only disappointment was discovering that Art from the Heart in Harrogate was closed for the week. Jenni and I had planned to spend a lot of time (and probably money) there. On the plus side we have decided to book a workshop there and visit without disgruntled husbands tagging along so all's well!
Now time for a new challenge from the CARDMADFAIRY and this time she is asking for creations using digital flowers.
Just to be a little different I decided to use a heart shaped digi image and turn it into a flower I love making 3d flowers and I always like to try and think outside the box! I resized the image and printed enough to make two sizes of petals and extra for leaves.
The backing paper is from a free pad by Pinkpaislee called Spring Jubilee which came with the Cardmaking magazine. The paper had so much detail on it I didn't want to layer anything on top but I felt it needed a little definition round the edge so I stamped and doodled a bit. Then I cut a piece out of a doilly and doodled round that as well.
The button in the middle of the flower is a lovely vintage one which really catches the light but unfortunately the camera didn't pick it up very well. Finally I added the bird and sentiment which were both from freebee sets, got to love those freebees!
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the challenge, there are so many fabulous digi images to choose from. Find the CARDMADFAIRY ones HERE.
